This is your chance to honour Canada’s ultimate running inspiration, Terry Fox, while raising money for cancer research.
Since Terry embarked on his Marathon of Hope in 1980, over $650 million has been raised worldwide in his name.
Two run distances are offered at each Terry Fox Run location, and 84 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to cancer research.

Get off the roads with a challenging trail run through rugged Buntzen Reservoir Recreation Area, a BC Hydro property. If the 880-metre elevation gain on the Enduro Course doesn’t take your breath away, the stunning views at the top of the Diez Vista trail definitely will.
5 Peaks races also feature kids events, post-race food and beverages and awards for the top three finishers in each age category.

Celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2014, stunning ocean views and well-executed logistics make the Victoria Marathon a pleasure to run. Boston Marathon hopefuls appreciate the fast course, which also plays host to the B.C. Marathon Championships.
If you’re heading to Victoria from the Lower Mainland, reserve a ferry spot to make sure you’re not left behind on busy Thanksgiving weekend.

Vancouver will host its first race in the Rock ‘n’ Roll series this fall, with half marathon and 10k options available. Rock ‘n’ Roll races are known for their fun vibes, innovative medal designs and live musical entertainment. Celebrate your finish at the post-race concert with “Rude” hitmakers MAGIC!
Participants will receive a long-sleeve inaugural technical T-shirt and finisher’s medal.Online registration is open until October 19.

Distances: Half Marathon (21.1 km), 10 km
Cost: Half Marathon – $100; 10K – $50
Balance a weekend of feasting with a flat, fast 10k race on Thanksgiving Monday. The Turkey Trot is best known for a beautiful route around Vancouver’s seawall and delicious gourmet treats after the race.
In a field that’s limited to 2,000 entrants, the top three finishers in each 10-year age category receive awards. There are also plenty of draw prizes.
