Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort, Parksville

Gaelic for "House by the Sea," Tigh-Na-Mara is an all-season destination boasting beautiful log buildings, three restaurants and the award-winning Grotto spa.

Many of the spa treatments here focus on West Coast natural ingredients. The Grotto mineral pool is designed to emulate a natural stone grotto. Its mineral-infused waters detoxify the body and rejuvenate the spirit.

Set in 22 acres of oceanfront property, Tigh-Na-Mara is nestled among an awe-inspiring arbutus and fir forest and has direct access to sandy Rathtrevor Beach, which boasts the warmest ocean swimming in Canada.

Kingfisher Resort & Spa, Royston, south of Courtenay

Every guest room at the Kingfisher Resort boasts a breathtaking view of the Georgia Strait, with ocean, island and coastal mountain vistas. Stay for an afternoon or for a whole week to enjoy the Kingfisher’s amazing food and spa services that use the rich ingredients of the sea.

In addition to a full menu of signature spa options, enjoy the heated outdoor pool, sauna, hot tub, West Coast steam cave and a fitness room. Soak up the many benefits of hydrotherapy in the Pacific Mist Hydropath. Follow the Hydropath as it winds through a re-created West Coast shoreline that features sandstone sculpted caves and pools.

Oh Spa at the Old Hotel Village Hotel, Courtenay

Nestled on the banks of the Courtenay River, Oh Spa is an oasis of luxury and relaxation in the heart of the Comox Valley. The anchor for the Old House Village Hotel and Suites, Oh Spa offers a wide range of spa treatments with special promos for moms-to-be and bridal parties. A Chromatherapy effervescent tub for two, a rainforest Vichy shower, and hydrotherapy tub are spa highlights.

Located less than a 30 minute drive from Mountain Washington, which offers fabulous skiing, snowshoeing and hiking, this year-‘round facility has the distinction of allowing you to enjoy the mountains, the sea and the spa...all in one day!

Ocean Resort, Oyster Bay

Located about 15 minutes south of Campbell River, Ocean Resort is the place to go if you want to really get away from it all. The smallest of the five spa resorts featured here, Ocean Resort is an idyllic setting for both group retreats and individual stays.

Experience a tranquil, natural environment supportive of personal transformation with a varied menu of organic and holistic treatment options, in addition to all of the spa treatments you know and love.

A long stretch of sandy beach, beautiful hotel rooms, a steam room, fitness room, saunas, spa services, meeting rooms, a dining room featuring raw and vegan food, and BC’s only driftwood labyrinth allow you to rejuvenate body and soul. (Note: Some services are seasonal.)

The Aveda Spa at April Point, Quadra Island

You’ll need to take the water taxi from Painters Lodge, just north of Campbell River, to get this idyllic Quadra Island getaway. It’s a fun little voyage and, best of all, it’s free!

Arrive at the stunning waterfront setting of April Point and take in the jaw-dropping beauty of the Japanese-inspired Aveda Spa. Enjoy manicures and pedicures, rejuvenating massages, facials, body wraps, hot stone treatments and more while you overlook the Discovery Passage and soak up the peace and serenity of Quadra Island.

Be aware that April Point and the Aveda Spa are only open from May through September, but this spa experience is well worth the trip (and the wait!).
