If you think rain is simply a state of mind, then you really do belong in Vancouver
Will the real Vancouverites please stand up?
Vancouverites are a distinct bunch, as proud of their city's beauty as they are of its quirks. But just because you reside in the world's third most liveable city doesn't give you VIP access to Club Vancouver. No, you have to do a little more than simply live here to really fit the mold.
There are a few easily identifiable traits that a typical Vancouverite possesses. For instance, if you're currently enjoying a plate of free-range scrambled eggs, dressed in yoga pants (paired with Uggs, of course) while tweeting about bike lanes and gentrification, please feel free to skip this exercise - we get it, you're a Vancouverite through and through.
But for the rest of you Vancouver-maybes, this handy infographic will separate the sweet Vancouver wheat from the chaff. Read on to see if you qualify as true-blue Vancouverite.
Yeah! I didn't qualify even though I was born and raised here and never lived anywhere else. So, I guess I can pack my bags to Bella Italia. Afterall I am first generation Italian. Arrivederci Vancouver!!!

I wasn't qualified but also I'm not a Vancouverite. Nevertheless I love the city and I know its people, can't agree with the author.
I'm wondering if the writer might be from Toronto...true Vancouverites are not as superficial as this article suggests, and I'm also third generation...We care deeply for the environment, are passionate about quality in our products, and enjoy forward thinking innovation in all things...

Third generation Vancouverite here...most of those stereotypical comments are absurd! I think the Uggs (I mean really, they must be called that for a reason?) yoga kale groups you refer to are not “typical”, true Vancouverites’ are getting choked out by the self serving elitism.
True-Blue Vancouverites are amazing at adapting, going with the flow (I refer to climate here), BUT are extremely concerned about the environment, our ridiculous cost of living, housing and homelessness! We do love our coffee and farm fresh eggs I’ll give you that!!

Typical Vancouverrites don't travel an 1 and a half to get to work. People that do are called typical suburbanites.
I would say that most, if not all of my friends have at least an hour daily commute. All of which live in Vancouver. Try again, fool.
