Truu Confessions is your anonymous best friend — the virtual person you turn to when you want to commiserate or vent without the judgment of a human being silently staring back at you.

The site is split into seven confessional categories (Moms, Wife, Brides, Single/Dating, Body/Diet, Office, Military Wives) under which you can submit your grievances and shameful secrets. When reading others’ posts, you can do more than just comment, but also check “metoo,” “omg” or “fave.”

Beleaguered mothers have been such prolific, honest and hilarious contributors that they inspired a book — True Mom Confessions — based on the website. You can sign up for a weekly e-newsletter of the juiciest confessions.

My favourite so far: “My son threw up all over the carpet. I left it there hoping the dog would eat it.”
