Freshen up your canned tuna with a few zesty basics

One of my favourite lunch spots makes an amazing tuna panini with fresh dill and a squeeze of lemon juice. I decided to try it at home and it really hit the spot.

Just a large dollop of olive-oil mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip), some fresh cut dill, and a squeeze of lemon or lime juice will freshen up canned tuna in a matter of minutes.

Also, don’t just put it between two slices of bread — that’s boring. Try an open-faced bagel with melted cheese or on crackers with cheese, tomato, or cucumber. I am continually finding new ways to use this awesome tuna mix — in pasta salad, tuna casserole, or as easy hors d'oeuvres.
