Consider the magnificent magnolia for your garden

Magnolias first began to bloom on Earth about 135 million years ago. Lucky for us, they make superb garden plants. Magnolias thrive in full sun or light shade. They have fuzzy buds that are pretty in winter and, best of all, they don’t have any pest problems and rarely do they have disease problems.

Plan and chose carefully for magnolias do not respond well to pruning. Be sure the space you have matches the plant you chose, and your magnolia will reward you for, well, maybe not millions of years, but certainly decades to come.
