Are you doing everything you can to be happy? Follow these 7 tips to make sure you’re living a fulfilled life

Smile and the world smiles with you. To achieve a sense of contentment that goes a little deeper than face value, consider these seven habits of happy people.

7 Happy Habits

  1. Don’t sweat the small stuff: Overlook anything inconsequential in the big picture, and don’t waste time on pettiness.
  2. Be thankful: Everyone faces challenges and difficulties. Be grateful for what you have instead of focusing on what you don’t have.
  3. Remember the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you’d wish to be treated. Consideration and compassion go a long way toward making the world a better place.
  4. Do what you love: It may take courage to make a change in your life or at your job, but follow your bliss. Be sure to make time for your favourite hobbies.
  5. Laugh: A lot of situations present you with two options: to laugh or to cry. Except in dire circumstances, try the former. You can find humour in almost any circumstance.
  6. Don’t be too hard on yourself: It’s important to forgive others, but it’s just as vital to forgive yourself. If you’ve made a mistake, take responsibility for it, learn from it, and then forgive yourself and move on.
  7. Take care of yourself: Pay attention to your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Make time to exercise, eat healthily, rest, and relax.
