‘Tis the season for summer dresses

When I think of summer dresses, I hear the dated indie hit “The Girls in their Summer Dresses” by the Airborne Toxic Event. Like all things indie, the title is ripe with intellectual yearning. It references the short story by novelist Irwin Shaw, who wrote for The New Yorker, among other publications.

The short story “Girls in their Summer Dresses” was later made into a film starring Jeff Bridges as a Manhattanite who can’t stop looking at other women when he’s strolling down Fifth Avenue with his girlfriend.

Why am I telling you this? Because here’s a list of summer dresses that will do you one better. Your head won’t just turn. It will spin.
