Braids

Ever since Katniss donned her infamous side braid in The Hunger Games, braids have enjoyed a comeback.

Woven dos give a bohemian feel to even the most elegant look. Double fishtails, simple braids and braided buns are fun looks for a fresh change, while looser, messier braids are the new messy updo. The braided headband, also known as a waterfall headband, gives a nice option to finish off gorgeous waves.

Pastels

From sweet lavenders to peachy keens, pastel hair colours are all the rage at the moment and stylists predict they will be a hot trend for another season or two. Start with a subtle splash of colour or go bold. The options with pastels are many: monochromatic, multi-colour, two tone, etc.

Darker Blondes and Cooler Browns

Want to stick with a classic colour? Go for a blonde or brown that will be classy, timeless and a great look for the winter season.

Winter usually calls for butterscotch blondes or deeper browns, and nothing looks better than healthy, well-cared for hair in these rich colours. Many blondes are going darker with deep beiges and golds, while and brunettes are going for cooler, richer sophisticated browns.

Ombrés

Ombrés – a mix of darker and lighter hair – are also big right now, and let you have both brown and blonde if you just can’t decide.
