As Vancouver mother and daughter Lara and Zoe go eagle watching in Squamish, Lara anticipates the day her daughter, too, will spread her wings
With only a short trip from the city you can leave behind the rat race and enter the world of the bald eagle.
From mid-November to February, thousands of bald eagles feast on dying chum salmon on the banks of the Squamish and Cheakamus rivers.
Lara and her family gather up their friends for a raft down the river with the Sunwolf Outdoor Centre and end the day with a BBQ in the woods to watch these majestic birds as they warm their hot chocolate and burn their hotdogs.
