8 Sweet Valentine’s Treats

Sweeten up your Valentine's Day with these delicious local chocolates, candies and doughnuts

Bring on the sugar rush with these eight delicious sweets available for Valentine’s Day in Vancouver

Gem Chocolates, 2029 West 41st Avenue

This award-winning artisan chocolate shop makes all their chocolates with natural ingredients. The Ultimate Chocolate Box is a unique twist on a box of chocolates because the box itself is edible. If that’s not enough to satisfy your Valentine’s sweet tooth, the box can be filled with up to 18 of Gem’s signature chocolates.

Lucky’s Doughnuts, 2902 Main Street and 2198 West 4th Avenue

Treat yourself and help those in need with the “Lucky in Love” doughnut from Lucky’s. All the proceeds from the $5 treat will support local charity A Loving Spoonful, which provides free, nutritious meals to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Vancouver area. The doughnut is filled with decadent strawberry and vanilla, topped with a champagne butter cream and finished off with a chocolate strawberry. It will be available exclusively on Valentine’s Day at both 49th Parallel and Lucky’s Doughnut cafés.
