Why are the leaves on my tomato plants curling?

Q: Why have the leaves of my tomato plant curled? I see no sign of bugs. I have a couple of different plant varieties growing in the same area. The leaves of one plant began to curl and now they are all curling. The tomatoes themselves are still coming in strong, but the plants look weird. I looked into “leaf curl” but that doesn’t seem to be the problem.

Could there be something else?

“Leaf roll” is a physiological response to hot, dry weather. Some cultivars experience the symptoms of leaf roll worse than others. Severe pruning may also cause leaf roll. I recommend you increase soil fertility and maintain adequate moisture at all times – mulching is the best way to achieve both.
