Reality and romance highlight a new season of one of TV's biggest guilty pleasures

90 Day FiancéTLCFirst comes love, then comes marriage, then comes... a whole lotta totally predictable relationship problems because you got married after just three months. Welcome to season six of this spinoff, which checks in with the often not-so-happy couples who got hitched under the spectre of an expiring visa.

This time around, the series welcomes back some familiar faces, while bringing in a few new couples to shake things up. Elizabeth and Andrei are here to show other lovebirds how it’s done, three years after “I do.” Indeed, the duo face new challenges like Andrei finally embracing the nine-to-five working life, and a road trip to Maryland. (Because packing your extended family into an itty-bitty RV is always a recipe for domestic bliss.) Then there’s Asuelu and Kalani, who get proactive in addressing their issues by looking for a new home away from Kalani’s fam; alas, the ties that bind aren’t so easily broken, as Kalani’s sister Kolini moves in for a few weeks to stir up trouble.

90 Day FiancéTLCNeed more convincing? How about Ronald and Tiffany, who are still doing the long-distance thing; Tiff has had it with carrying the financial burden solo, but in Ron’s eyes, his wife is spending all her hard-earned cash on herself and not them as a couple. Last but not least, there’s Michael and Angela, who seemed to be utterly head over heals when they tied the knot in Nigeria, but after Angela’s mother passed away, things took a turn. Now, they’re living in separate countries, and although their virtual connection (including a surprisingly robust sex life) seems strong in the beginning, it’s not long until the gap between them begins to take its toll.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After airs Sundays at 5 p.m. & 8:12 p.m. (repeating at 9 p.m. & 12:12 a.m.) on TLC
