Spring has officially sprung! Whether that means suffering seasonal allergies for some, or admiring cherry blossoms for others, what’s for sure is that it’s once again time for cute bunnies and pastel colours.

Here are a few local spots where you can find adorable Easter goodies to celebrate the season of new beginnings…

1. Goldilocks Bake Shop

This local Filipino bakery is offering a sweet and savoury brunch menu this season, which includes their take on a traditional Filipino breakfast dish, Easter eggs, seasonal cakes, and cupcakes. The Silog Extravaganza features milkfish (daing na bangus), sweet Filipino sausage (longganisa), sunny-side-up eggs, garlic rice, pickled vegetables, and a choice between chicken or pork BBQ skewers. If you’re looking for fun treats for the kids, Goldilocks is also offering mini chocolate candy-filled Easter eggs and chocolate cupcakes with bunny ears.

2. Beaucoup Bakery

Take a trip to Jurassic World with Beaucoup Bakery’s prehistoric-themed Easter treats. Offerings include dinosaur sprinkle cookies, dinosaur nest carrot cake, and two seasonal hot cross bun flavours: the classic, as well as one with a crunchy sugar exterior filled with hazelnut chocolate cream. Beaucoup is also offering a dino chocolate egg with a small dinosaur plush toy, milk chocolate eggs, and dinosaur sprinkle cookies inside. This local patisserie’s Easter-themed treats are making a comeback this season. Options include Easter showpieces with designs like a decorated Easter egg, egg carton, carrot, and spring chicken; made-to-order graffiti eggs available in dark, milk, or white chocolate; hot cross buns, and traditional Easter stollens. 4. Purdys Chocolatier

Looking for an Easter gift for family and friends? Local favourite Purdys Chocolatier is releasing a limited-edition Easter chocolate gift box packed with 16 different chocolate flavours. The Bunny’s Choice Gift Box was put together by a *real* Easter Bunny, and features flavours like salted hazelnut flake, mango, and dark chocolate Himalayan pink salt among others. This sweet gift retails for $23 and is available now at Purdys shops across the country.

5. Rocky Mountain Chocolate

Rocky Mountain Chocolate is another local chocolatier launching a selection of milky goodness for the Easter season. 6. Chez Christophe Chocolaterie Pâtisserie

Featuring pastel-coloured Easter treats and desserts, Chez Christophe’s limited collection is back. Its showpiece Easter eggs come in five flavoursa black and gold dark chocolate egg; tri-coloured dark chocolate egg; a 10th-anniversary egg (five of which will include a golden ticket inside, valued at $250); a pastel colour-splattered milk chocolate egg; and a caramelized white chocolate egg with a dark chocolate hen inside. The collection also features extra fancy Fabergé-style chocolate eggs with two Easter-themed chocolates inside.

9. Thomas Haas Chocolates


The legendary local chocolatier’s Easter collection features a selection of chocolate lollipops with designs featuring bunnies, ducklings and Easter eggs; chocolate figurines; and gift boxes. Thomas Haas has also come out with an Easter stollen filled with almonds, pistachios and kirsch-soaked cherries, topped with a nest of chocolate eggs. To add some fun into the mix, their hand-painted Easter eggs come in three designs and all have a chocolate surprise inside.

10. The Pie Hole

Calling all pie enthusiasts! The Pie Hole’s newest Easter offering is the treat you’ve been looking for. This pie comes in a double-butter crust, with layers of Mini Egg chocolate ganache and chocolate cream, topped with candy shell-infused whipped cream and crushed Mini Eggs. This limited-edition pie comes in nine, five, or three inches (pack of nine) and is available for pre-order online now.

11. Glowbal Restaurant

Looking for an Easter Sunday brunch to indulge in with family and friends? Glowbal Restaurant is back with their Easter brunch buffet, available only on Easter Sunday, April 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The buffet is $75 per person ($30 for kids 12 and under) and includes chilled seafood, made-to-order omelettes, beef striploin, charcuterie and fruit platters, a brunch poutine, and an egg-nest tart amongst other selections. 12. The Teahouse Restaurant

Located inside Stanley Park, The Teahouse Restaurant will be launching Easter weekend brunch features, available on Good Friday, April 7 through to Easter Monday, April 10. Options include a 4-oz lobster tail eggs Benedict; Gruyère cheese and wild mushroom quiche; and a crab cake eggs Benedict. Brunch food not quite to your taste? No problem. The Teahouse is also launching Easter dinner features, such as braised short ribs and a crispy Pavlova.
