3. Buttermere Patisserie

This Easter, Buttermere Patisserie have unveiled their ‘Out of This World’ treats that feature three stunning variations of a 7-inch tall egg-shaped chocolate shell filled with assorted confections known as dragées. The interactive Easter eggs come in ‘Pastel Splash’, made with 41 percent Alunga milk chocolate and feuilletine with crispy baked crêpe layers; the ‘Pearl Egg’, composed of 34 percent Zéphyr white chocolate paired with Oreo crumbs; and the ‘Metallic Egg’ made with Fleur de Cao dark chocolate and a caramelized hazelnut shell. 4. Temper Chocolate and Pastry

The West Vancouver patisserie launches a spring collection of Easter treats and seasonal daytime fare with fresh-baked hot cross buns, chocolate mini eggs, Easter bunnies in dark, milk or white chocolate, and a pair of deluxe Easter showpieces. Their egg showpieces are available in vibrant blue, pink, green, orange, purple or yellow to add a pop of colour and are filled with dark, milk and white chocolate frictures.

5. Chez Christophe Chocolaterie Pâtisserie

Offering up a selection of different treats, Chez Christophe’s Easter lineup features exclusive egg showpieces, smashables, a ‘Sunny Side Up’ desert and a ‘Hot Cross Crois’ (hot cross bun/croissant hybrid). Their showstopper eggs are available in three flavours; the ‘Signature’, a hollow dark chocolate egg with three truffles inside and decorated with gold and blue; the ‘Monotone Dark’, a milk chocolate hollow egg dipped in dark chocolate with caramelized hazelnut pieces; and the ‘Monotone Caramel’, a dark chocolate hollow egg dipped in caramelized white chocolate with caramelized hazelnut pieces. A special mention must also be made to their seasonal ‘Hot Cross Crois’, a croissant dough with cinnamon cardamom pastry cream, rum soaked raisins and an orange rum glaze. From Friday, March 26th to Sunday, April 4th, Ladurée will be serving up their exquisite Easter cake which features a pistachio macaron biscuit, pistachio mousseline cream, crispy praline feuilletine with almonds and pistachio, and topped with Ladurée Easter décor, including macarons and handcrafted mini chocolate eggs. Available in an individual size ($11) or sharable size (four people for $42, six people for $63), all can indulge in this sweet delicacy.

Popina’s famous Puffcream has had an Easter makeover, and for a limited time only the freshly baked cream puffs are filled with a swirl of original-recipe Birchwood Dairy vanilla soft-serve ice cream and loaded with Mini Eggs ($8).
