We uncover the most picturesque and luxury Airbnb stays beautiful British Columbia has to offer
Airbnb: Private Modern Treehouse on Highland Farm
Location: Chilliwack, B.C.
The details: From $373 per night (two-night minimum stay); sleeps two
The amenities: This super-elevated version of a childhood treehouse provides a luxurious escape on the outskirts of the city. Located on a cattle farm surrounded by thick forest, this Airbnb features amenities like a private hot tub and a campfire area (please note that the firepit can’t be used when there’s a fire ban in effect). At the back of the property is an elevated deck (30 feet above the field!) where you can watch the cattle and deer while enjoying your evening cocktail.
Inside the treehouse, you’ll find a minimalist space with white walls, rustic hardware accents, and light oak ceilings. The coziest spot in this treetop nook is the bedroom loft where you can fall asleep on the queen-sized bed while stargazing through the large ceiling windows. There’s also a full bathroom equipped with a modern shower, artisan soaps and towels.
Activities in the area: Besides relaxing at the treehouse and observing the livestock, you can head down to the farm where there’s a feeding station set up for visitors to interact with the resident cows (according to the hosts, the cows love apple slices). Want to explore the area more? This property is located on Ryder Lake, a small community surrounded by forests and hills. You can easily find a scenic bike riding route, or drive three minutes to Mount Thom for an easy hike. If you’re hoping for something more challenging, Elk Mountain is also nearby for a full day of hiking.
