We uncover the most picturesque and luxury Airbnb stays beautiful British Columbia has to offer
Location: Rustic West Coast Cabin, Jordan River, Vancouver Island
The details: $149+ per night, two-night minimum stay, sleeps four
The amenities: Perfect for couples and small families, this beautifully rustic cabin nestled amongst evergreens and just steps from the ocean will be your go-to getaway for the ultimate West Coast experience. With two queen beds, the space comfortably sleeps four with the option to add an additional body (if they don’t mind sleeping on the couch). The cabin includes a full kitchen and coffeemaker to make your mornings as comfortable as at home, while the outhouse, covered outdoor sink and shower will give you that cabin-in-the-woods experience. During the warmer months, roast s’mores next to the firepit or take in the sounds of nature while relaxing in the hammock. When things get a little chillier, cozy up next to the indoor log-burning stove and drift off for nap. As this spot has no WiFi and cell service is a little unpredictable, those looking for a technology-free trip are in luck.
Activities in the area: Just a short drive from the cabin, you’ll find numerous beaches and hikes to get lost in nature. For a quick pick-me-up, the Cold Shoulder Café in Jordan River offers delicious coffee and home-baked goods to keep you fuelled throughout the day. If it’s something a little more gourmet you’re after, Point No Point Resort (about a 10-minute drive back towards Sooke) offers takeout, featuring everything from creamy seafood chowder to lasagna.
