We uncover the most picturesque and unique Airbnb stays beautiful British Columbia has to offer

Location: The Peace Cabin, Ucluelet

The details: $397 per night (two-night minimum stay) plus fees; sleeps four

The amenities: This private waterfront cabin located on the Ucluelet inlet is surrounded by old-growth trees and designed to connect its guests to nature. A ‘capsule to recharge yourself from the busyness of your day-to-day life’, the Peace Cabin allows you to spend  uninterrupted time in silence, only a five-minute drive from town. With 13-foot-high ceilings and large windows to showcase the outdoors, the space gives the illusion of living under the trees. Both bedrooms have three windows, allowing the natural elements to flow in, and the large bathroom features a tree-high private view that looks onto nothing but ocean and forest. In the main living area, you’ll find a cozy fireplace, a full kitchen, lots of functional space, a wraparound couch and a log burner. The living area opens onto a long deck, and there is also a spacious side deck with a gas grill and wood fireplace. Finally, it wouldn’t be a West Coast cabin without a hot outdoor shower.

Activities in the area: Located just outside of Ucluelet town, the Peace Cabin resides in a quiet neighbourhood with close proximity to coastal hiking trails, surfing beaches and National Parks, including the Pacific Rim National Park. Surfing is just a 10-minute drive to Wickaninnish Beach, or a 20-minute drive to Long Beach. You can also get to Tofino in 30 minutes by car. The waterfront property is on a tidal inlet, so make the most of being on the water and be sure to bring your stand up paddle boards, canoes and kayaks.
