Harbour-side favourite Cardero’s launches its new Sunday brunch with a Mother’s Day celebration on Sunday, May 12th. Continuing Sundays throughout the year and available from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the new option includes a selection of savoury new items in addition to the popular lunch menu, among them: Mediterranean eggs served with house-made hummus, avocado, tomato, feta and warm pita bread; smoked steelhead salmon latke topped with fresh arugula, roasted tomato and hollandaise sauce; and Avocado Smash, a modern classic with poached egg, cherry tomatoes, goat’s cheese and arugula served atop grilled Italian cheese bread. At Yew Seafood and Bar, the annual Mother’s Day brunch buffet returns, as does the venue’s first spot prawn boil dining series event of 2019. At brunch, a selection of dishes, action stations, a raw bar, charcuterie and carvery stations, offer everything from freshly shucked oysters, to soups, salads, and a selection of kid’s favourites. Desserts include Grandma’s old fashioned chocolate cake, pecan caramel tart, freshly baked brioche and prune pudding, signature tiramisu, passion polka dot pana cotta, trifle, a Bananas Foster action station and other sweet treats.
