The 30th anniversary Miracle Gala & Concert raises a record-breaking $10.2 million to support Canadian families dealing with organ transplant

The David Foster Foundation—the charitable organization founded by its Grammy-winning super-producer namesake—called on familiar faces to lead a local drive to support families in need on Saturday, October 21st in Vancouver.

A crowd of 9,000 concert attendees joined over 850 gala participants in fundraising efforts to support Canadians facing the economic challenges associated with organ transplant. More than 1,100 families across Canada have benefitted from the generosity of supporters since the foundation launched efforts in 1986, covering non-medical costs such as rent, travel expenses and groceries.

This year’s celebrations at Rogers Arena were awash in celebrity attendees, including Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno and Cee Lo Green. CTV’s Ben Mulroney and HLN’s Michaela Pereira mastered hosting duties, country queen Reba McEntire surprised the crowd—taking the stage to perform her signature take on “Fancy”—and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler closed the show, drawing on his stable of iconic singles including “Dream On.”
