Cavalia’s Odysseo is stationed in Vancouver through to March 12 under the White Big Top in False Creek. The spectacle is a live show that features 65 horses of 11 different breeds and 48 accompanying riders, acrobats, aerialists, dancers and musicians.

For an immersive experience, live screens project rotating landscape backgrounds for dimension and the visual effects of this, combined with the performances, are completely awe-inspiring.

The show transports you into an enchanting world, taking you on a dreamy journey from start to finish. During the show, the audience is treated to live music (look up!) and live vocals for most of the performance in the intimate stadium setting.

Behind the scenes, the horses are kept in their individual stalls, enjoying hay and a little well-deserved break. In between shows, some of the horses’ hair is braided to give it a pretty wavy texture during the performance!

To give life to this extraordinary equestrian adventure, a 17,500-square-foot stage was created, including a three-storey hill. Ten thousand tons of rock, earth and sand are trucked in and then sculpted to create the vast space of freedom where performers and their horses can play in complicity.

Odysseo combines equestrian and theatrical arts for an experience to remember for the entire family.
