FlyOver CanadaExperience Iceland at this special showing of FlyOver Iceland’s trip across the lunar-like landscape. Showing twice an hour, the special Icelandic show highlights the beautiful scenery of the country and will be at FlyOver Canada for a limited run this spring.

2. Cypress Pool Party 2020 — Saturday, February 29

3. Repair Cafe Vancouver — Saturday, February 29
Facebook/ MetroVan Repair CafesBring your broken bits and pieces and repair them with the community. During this do-it-together, hands-on workshop volunteers repair one item per visitor for free. These are participatory events – visitors are required to be present for the repair and are encouraged to get involved for a full learning and skill building experience.

4. LED lantern workshop — Saturday, February 29 & March 7
Facebook/ Deer Lake Art GalleryGet hands-on in creating a unique animated display that will be exhibited at the upcoming Luminescence V in March. Using LED lights, attendees will make their lanterns using materials such as grape vines, bamboo and round reed.

5. Holy Crab’s Third Anniversary — Sunday, March 1
Holy CrabCelebrate Holy Crab’s third birthday by snapping up a free Stuffed Deviled Crab dish, available exclusively to the first 30 customers starting at 11 a.m. The limited-edition entrée will showcase a premium Dungeness crab shell stuffed with The Holy Crab's signature house-made seafood gumbo (Louisiana Creole seafood stew), topped with tasty morsels of crab meat and baked cheese. Available in limited quantities, the free feature dish will only be on offer to the first 30 customers who arrive at the restaurant, with a limit of one per person.

6. Urban Grind — Tuesday, March 3
Facebook/ The Vancouver LookoutEvery Tuesday in March, energetic visitors can climb the stairs of the Vancouver Lookout and be rewarded at the top with a stunning 360º aerial view of Vancouver, a refreshing beer, and DJ entertainment. Every participant also receives a $5 Harbour Centre Food Court voucher to redeem at any of the Food Court vendors on site. Coat check will be available by donation. All proceeds will benefit The Kettle Society, a local mental health charity.

Yuwa Japanese CuisineIn honour of Hinamatsuri, or ‘Girls’ Day’ — a Japanese cultural tradition that honours girls and involves rituals believed to bestow and promote their health, happiness and longevity — Yuwa Japanese Cuisine will offer several features at the award-winning Kitsilano restaurant this March. The colourful and customary main dish of the Hinamatsuri feast, Chirashizushi (sashimi, vegetables and ikura on rice) will be available exclusively on the official date of Hinamatsuri.
