1. The MAMA Project – Thursday, May 11, to Saturday, June 3

MAMA ProjectBurnaby Arts Council Endorsed by the National Committee of UN Women Canada, the MAMA Project is a travelling art installation created by artist Emily van Lidth de Jeude that explores relationships with mothers. Images have been painted on raw bed linens and hung like laundry around the space, and broadcast audio recordings of interviews with mothers accompany the installation. SuperMAMA is a multimedia performance of songs and poetry about motherhood and being mothered.

2. Spot Prawn Festival – Saturday, May 13
