The wait is over: Selina’s much sweated-over memoir finally arrives this week. (Brace yourself.) In addition, Ben and Kent go out for drinks with Dan, and Congressman Jonah, accidental architect of the recent government shutdown, has himself a major meeting.
The army of celebrity designers and renovationists tasked with turning a modest shack into the ultimate lake house (complete with a Scotch room and fully loaded home theatre) had their work cut out for them, but as ever, they were up to the challenge. Tonight, we’ll find out which lucky family gets to call the home their own.
As enchanting as modern-day CGI flicks can be, there’s a certain nostalgic allure about Disney’s iconic cartoons. And when it comes to classic Mouse House output, you won’t find much better than this tale of a thief who conjures up wealth and true love with the help of Robin Williams’ gregarious genie.

Not only has this most recent season finally pushed Jimmy McGill onto the fast track in his inevitable evolution into Saul Goodman, but it’s brought fan-favourite Gus Fring into the fold, which, much like when Fring debuted on season two of Breaking Bad, has expanded our view of Albuquerque’s criminal underworld, raising the stakes for Jimmy and Mike.
Throughout the season, there have been plenty of little Easter eggs and homages to the original series that have added a pleasing layer for veteran Bad fans. We’re sure that trend will continue in the finale, as we all await word (at time of press) as to whether this acclaimed series will be renewed for a fourth season.
There are a handful? of famous men and women who have genuinely changed the course of history; Albert Einstein is most certainly counted amongst them. It’s because of him that the world knows that ubiquitous equation E = MC2 (even if relatively few of us truly comprehend it). Science aside, though, the man was a rock star in his day; not just a brilliant scholar, but ?a pop-culture icon. So it came as no surprise when this dramatic retelling of his life with the great Geoffrey Rush at the helm proved to be so intriguing.
It all comes to an end with a super-sized two-hour finale, wherein the German physicist settles into American life while the Second World War engulfs the rest of the world. ?Here, we’ll delve into one ?of his darkest chapters,? as President Truman drops the atomic bomb, a weapon that President Roosevelt had begun developing on the recommendation of Einstein and his colleague Leo Szilard; it’s one contribution the great scientist would come to regret.
Right after delivering perhaps the best action movie ever, Die Hard director John McTiernan gave us one of the all-time-great submarine thrillers, as a CIA analyst (Alec Baldwin) chases down a rogue Soviet sub and its secretly defecting captain (Sean Connery).
Host Jane Lynch (formerly of Glee) is back with a whole new season of this star-studded game show that liquors up its celebrity guests so they can get loose and silly while playing wacky party games.
Fans loved her as Canada’s first Bachelorette, and then in her current role as a transformer of homes on Love It or List It Vancouver, and now B.C.’s own Jillian Harris is the star of her own four-part reality show. Featuring her partner, Justin Pasutto, and the couple’s new baby, Leo, the series will follow the couple (who live ?in Kelowna) as Harris juggles ?her jam-packed schedule and Pasutto tries to launch a new career to support their growing family— all in the midst of a major home renovation and adjusting to life with a newborn.
In the series premiere, the couple prepare themselves for the arrival of their first child together and their new roles? as parents. Between doctor’s appointments, an over-the-top surprise baby shower, readying their house for the new arrival and continuing to work right ?up until her due date, Harris attempts to do it all. Meanwhile, Pasutto ends up in a frightening accident and then receives some shocking news about the reno that throws their lives into chaos.
As the body count rises and the situation becomes more dire for parking lot king Ray Stussy ?(Ewan McGregor), expect to see an explosive conclusion to the third season of Fargo, which has featured one of the show’s most extraordinary performances in David Thewlis’s creepy bulimic villain.
It seems like singing competitions are reemerging in a big way—particularly at ABC. The network just closed a deal to bring the original sing-off, American Idol, back to the airwaves in 2018, and this week, they’re putting a new spin on the genre with Boy Band.
Almost all generations of music-loving teens and tweens have had a boy band to crush on over the years. Whether that be The Beatles, New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys, N’SYNC or 98 Degrees, these groups have been an integral part of thousands upon thousands of adolescences. Of course, most of these ensembles are meticulously crafted by record producers looking for a perfect, demographic-spanning music-and-merchandising machine. And while in the past, this was all done behind closed doors, the most recent example occurred on live TV, as Simon Cowell took five wayward wannabe pop stars on the U.K. version of The X Factor and forged them into One Direction. Could that next supergroup be spawned on this series?
Over the course of 10 episodes undiscovered talent will compete? for a chance to prove that they have what it takes to join the ultimate? boy band, and to sign a recording contract. To really prove their ?salt, these competitors will be put through the ringer with different-themed episodes each week, as guided and judged by Timbaland, Spice Girls singer Emma Bunton (better known to you as Baby Spice) and Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter. In the end, it will be up to audiences to vote on who to keep around week in, week out, until only the absolutely dreamiest are left standing. Another bona-fide pop star, Brit Rita Ora, is on hand to emcee.
