Create an Apple Centrepiece

Wedge the floral foam firmly into the pot and add most of the greenery before securing the apples with skewers.

For this arrangement Maureen used skimmia, one of her favourite plants. “Skimmia is easy to grow and long-lasting in displays. In spring it produces delicate white flowers on female plants and in fall the red berries are quite lovely.”

Once the apples have been placed, fill in any spaces with extra greenery and berries to complete the arrangement, which makes a gorgeous centrepiece for a Christmas table.

Add a small jar of honey and it makes a great gift for Jewish New Year, too, suggests Maureen.
