The premiere of Hawaii 5-0 picks up right after last season's shocking finale, with McGarrett coming to terms with the fact that his mother is still alive

After last season’s cliffhanger finale, this year starts off with a bang as the Five-0 team heads back out to track down the murderous Wo Fat while McGarrett tries to process the news that his mother (guest star Christine Lahti) is alive and well, and not dead as he had long believed.

How I Met Your Mother (New Season)

When Robin finds herself suffering from pre-wedding jitters, she turns to Ted for help. Naturally, he takes her on a walk down memory lane to tell the story of the time he helped Victoria break the news to her jilted ex-fiancé (Reno 911!’s Thomas Lennon) before they got together.

Partners (New Series)

The lives of two best friends and business partners — straight Joe (David Krumholtz of NUMB3RS) and gay Louis (Ugly Betty’s Michael Urie) — are put to the test when Joe asks his girlfriend (One Tree Hill’s Sophia Bush) to marry him in this new sitcom from the creators of Will & Grace.

2 Broke Girls (New Season)

After visiting her father (WingsSteven Weber) in his white-collar prison, the disgraced ex-tycoon sends Caroline and Max (Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings) on a mission to attend an auction of her family’s estate so they can bid on a family heirloom that he desperately wants.

CFAX radio personality and local foodie Kathy McAree joins chef Steve Walker-Duncan to cook lamb after they visit Saturna Island’s Campbell Lamb farms.

Men at Work
10 p.m., Comedy
In the aftermath of a drunken ménage a trois with a girl they met at a bar, things get awkward between Gibbs and Milo. Meanwhile, Neal becomes jealous of Tyler’s friendship with Amy.

Castle (New Season)
10:01 p.m., CTV & ABC
Now that the “will they or won’t they” has officially become “they did,” Castle and Beckett’s post-coital glow quickly fades when they find they are still at the mercy of the dangerous Cole Maddox and looking at new evidence into the conspiracy behind the death of Beckett’s mother.
