If you’ve always dreamed of travelling to Africa, why wait? Make your travel plans now

If your travel planning is in a rut, try these vacation ideas

You don’t need to go on the same sort of holiday year after year. Too often we forget just how many options are out there. There’s a whole world to explore and a whole list of ways to do it. Here are a few suggestions to help you get started changing things up a bit.

Go on a Small Group Adventure

Take an inexpensive small group adventure to a remote or not often visited foreign country. There are companies that will organize special tours as well. Perhaps a trip through the historic parks of the western United States or a journey to the Arctic is your thing. Whatever the case may be, there are plenty of choices.

If you have the time and money now, why wait to take that once-in-a-lifetime trip? Do the African Safari you’ve been dreaming about. Or travel through Central America, India or China – that place you’ve always wanted to go, but keep putting off.

Spend Time Off-Broadway

If theatre is your thing – spend a week attending counter-culture plays of the off Broadway or off off Broadway theatres of New York City.

Go on an Educational Adventure

Have you ever heard of “educational adventures”? They’re a really great concept. Organizations like “Road” Scholar organize educational travel adventures around the world so you can experience in-depth and behind-the-scenes learning opportunities, from cultural tours and study cruises to walking, biking, and more.

Try RV’ing

If you want to keep it simple, relatively inexpensive and take the whole family or a group of friends along, try RV’ing. GoRVing.ca features RV’ing experiences and favourite travel spots from RV enthusiasts.

Take a Freighter Cruise

And a concept that’s really gaining in popularity – freighter cruises. Yes, cruising on a cargo freighter, rather than an actual cruise ship. People do it – for up to 60 days or so at a time. Most of today’s passenger freighters are German or French owned containerships, with international officers and crew onboard, offering accommodation for four to twelve passengers.

Again, lots of websites out there that can provide you with more info on freighter cruises, just do a quick Google search. And while you’re at it – do some more searching for your next destination. The options are endless!

Happy Travels!
