Abandon your car and discover everything you need along Vancouver’s Main Street

Imagine a world without big box stores. Where you knew the names of your neighbours and the lady who sells you milk. Where a car was an inconvenience and your feet could get you from home to work to lunch and then yoga and home again. Welcome to Vancouver’s Main Street.

Situated smack dab between Vancouver’s east and west sides, Main Street spoils scenesters, shopaholics, young families and foodies alike with an abundance of choice. Variety is the name of the game on this street, and hyperlocal is the rule.

We’ve scoured the area for our favourite locally owned, people-oriented restaurants, boutiques, art shops, community resources and more to bring you a neighbourhood guide aimed to help you live, eat and shop locally.

We’re adding new stuff all the time (including some upcoming video and photo features!), so check back often. And don’t be shy to recommend your favourite spots!
