The vanilla strawberry hydrangea starts white in spring and turns pink in fall

The Vanilla Strawberry hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata ‘Renhy’) from Bailey Nurseries looks good enough to eat.

With show-stopping blooms that transition from creamy-white in mid summer to strawberry-red in late fall, it can be planted in groups as a border for a showy look, or with geraniums and ferns for a stand-out combination. Hardy to zone 4.

Site in full sunlight and provide plenty of water. Prune in the early spring.
