Yaletown's prettiest homewares shop has expanded just in time for the holiday season
A peek inside newly renovated Yaletown design shop The Cross.
The added room means there’s more space to fill with the beautiful furniture, textiles, art pieces, accessories and trinkets the shop is known for. Vancouver-based owners Darci Ilich and Stephanie Vogler describe The Cross esthetic as being “refined and relaxed, more playful than perfectly polished,” which is evident within your first steps in to their boutique.
Most of the walls inside are painted white, providing a great canvas to highlight Ilich and Vogler’s tastefully curated mix of home goods. The renovation comes complete with light hardwood floors, custom cabinetry and shelving, sparkly chandeliers and lots of new nooks dedicated to special departments. In the centre of the store is the brand new paper shop, full of fun cards and pretty gift wrap, while other spots have been reserved for a dreamy bedroom section, a custom furnishings area, and a jewelry shop (with pieces from local designers Amanda Vogler and Leah Alexandra). With plenty of shiny ornaments and Christmas trees scattered throughout the store, the Yaletown design destination is gearing up for the holidays. If you’re not lucky enough to live close enough for a stop at their bricks and mortar store, many of their items are also available online.
Stop by store located at 1198 Homer Street.
