You can choose between two Vancouver neighbourhoods (or hey, you could always hit up both of them) and sample a selection of breakfast foods from French toast to pulled pork. The Gastown crawl will start at Milano coffee before making its way to Brioche Eatery Café, Jamaican Blue Cold Brew, and more. The Kitsilano crawl begins at Novo Pizzeria and will stop at Krokodile Pear and Momento Coffee House, among others.

If you’ve been harbouring a fascination with the world under the ocean then Divers’ Weekend at the Vancouver Aquarium is the place to be. Learn about underwater archaeology, check out diving demonstrations, and treat the kids to an assortment of activities. If that’s not enough to convince diving fans, then maybe this will help: anyone who has their diving certification can receive a 50 per cent discount on their admission fee.

Food-tography – January 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31

Does your Instagram account make everyone’s mouth water? If so then this is just the event for you. A professional photographer will be on hand to give you tips on how to set up the perfect shot. The tour kicks off at Cadeaux Bakery, then moves on to Chill Winston, and finishes off at the Vancouver Urban Winery. Just make sure to keep your phone camera set to square.
