Fifteen amazing women will talk for eight minutes each about their journey to change the world, and how being a woman empowers them. Squamish’s popular Refresh market has some fresh ideas up its sleeve, so kids, parents, and parents-to-be should head to the special Refresh Kids market this weekend. Over 40 vendors will be selling locally designed clothing, accessories, toy, and gear in one of the biggest local indie craft markets for kids. While the parents shop, children can enjoy doing crafts, live music, a photo booth, dancing, a tea party and snow cones.

CBC Vancouver’s popular Toque Sessions only come around once a year, and in 2015 they’re giving audiences a chance for something special: The Super Toque. Catch three of Vancouver’s hottest rising musicians at this free event at the CBC Broadcast Centre. Catch indie-rockers Yukon Blonde and Little India, and electro-pop songstress Willa all on one stage this weekend. While the concert is free, you have to reserve your spot in advance. If they run out of space, a rush line will be formed in hopes of accommodating extra guests.

If you can’t make it to Victoria for their beer festival, you can still enjoy all your favourite brews right here in Vancouver. The East Side Beer Fest is raising money for the Vancouver Food Bank by pouring craft beers from around the world and serving up snacks. Head down to Wise Hall just off Commercial Drive and grab a drink. Tickets are just $25 and a non-perishable food donation.
