Royal fever is on the rise with Prince William and Princess Kate arriving in Victoria on Saturday, September 24th to kick off their 2016 Royal Tour to Canada. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will embark on a week-long tour of British Columbia and Yukon meeting thousands of Canadians along the way.

Government House – Saturday, September 24 and Thursday, September 29

The Royal Family will be making a quick stop at Government House before heading to their official welcoming ceremony. The house will be their base throughout their Victoria visit. 

On Thursday, September 29, the entire family will be host a children’s party at the House’s beautiful grounds. Try and spot George and Charlotte, who will be spending time with a group of specially invited children from military families.

B.C.’s Parliament – Saturday, September 24, approximately 5 p.m.

Visit B.C.’s Parliament Buildings for the official public welcoming ceremony of the Duke and Duchess to Canada.

Will and Kate are set to arrive at Victoria’s Cenotaph at approximately 5 p.m., where they will start their tour by paying respects and honouring Canadian military services. The public festivities will begin shortly after, featuring a full military honours, including a 21-gun salute and speeches.

Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre and Jack Poole Plaza – Sunday, September 25

Arrive early at Jack Poole Plaza to find a spot amongst hundreds of other admiring locals and welcome The Royal Family who will be travelling to Vancouver via floatplane on Sunday, September 25.

Sheway and the Downtown Eastside – Sunday, September 25

After the welcoming celebrations, Will and Kate will travel to the Downtown Eastside to visit Sheway, a charity that helps and provides services to vulnerable mothers who are battling addiction and other issues. This is something close to Kate’s heart, as she focuses a lot of her charitable work on helping mothers in need.

Immigrant Services Society – Sunday, September 25

The couple will be paying a visit to the Immigrant Services Society‘s newly opened Welcome Centre, where they will meet staff and volunteers who have supported over 25,000 migrants to Canada every year. They will also meet with Syrian refugees, and discuss issues such as housing, education, employment, mental health and more. 

Telus Gardens – Sunday, September 25

Afterwards, the Duke and Duchess will be attending a reception in the heart of Vancouver. Telus Gardens will host an event to celebrate young leaders in Canadian arts, music, sports, charity, business and film. 

Kitsilano Coast Guard Station – Sunday, September 25

The couple’s last public reception in Vancouver will be held at the Kitsilano Coast Guard Station where they will learn about the first responders who work together to protect the safety, mental, and physical health of people on the West Coast. 

After the event, The Royal Family will fly back to Victoria for the evening before travelling to the Great Bear Rainforest along the central and north coast of British Columbia the next day.

The Cridge Centre – Saturday, October 1

The Royal Family will spend their final day in Victoria before heading back home. On Saturday, October 1, Will and Kate will pay a visit to The Cridge Centre for the Family, a charitable organization that provides shelter and care to children, seniors and women.

Sail and Life Training Society Ship – Saturday, October 1

Afterwards, the Duke and Duchess will sail a tall ship with the Sail and Life Training Society with young people who are part of JACK.org, a network of Canadian youth who are working to end the stigma around mental health.

Victoria Harbour Airport – Saturday, October 1

Bid farewell to The Royal Family as they end their tour at a public official departure ceremony at Victoria Harbour Airport later on in the afternoon.
