It is important that the kiwis not freeze, a light frost is the most cold they will take without spoiling. Ideally mid September is the best for harvest; cut one open, be sure they are mature and then harvest all. They may be stored cold in the fridge or root cellar for months, or left at room temperature to be immediately enjoyed. It is also recommended that they be picked early in the morning, this will help increase storage time. Enjoy!
