The city's and country's most prominent business and community leaders help raise 1.5 million dollars for local charities
On Saturday, June 13, local philanthropist and Army and Navy President, Jacqui Cohen (pictured above with Rob Menard), hosted the Face the World Foundation’s 25th Silver Anniversary Gala at her beautiful waterfront home.
The city’s and country’s most prominent business and community leaders were all in attendance and the event raised $1.5 million for charities throughout the Lower Mainland, with particular focus on charities that support abused women and children, the elderly and the homeless.
The night was a glamourous affair with a live auction that included art, travel as well as a BMW up for grabs, and entertainment by New York’s beloved drag performer MILK.
“It was a profound evening on many levels and I am very grateful for the support of sponsors, suppliers and all of my guests who I hold so dear,” said Cohen. “Because of everyone’s efforts and unwaivering commitment, the Foundation is able to make a true difference in the community.”
