Artists and friends collaborate in support of Main Street's Drift festival.
It was standing room only at the iDrift benefit last weekend. For just five bucks at the door guests got a beer and a brush to collaborate on original art in support of The Drift Art Festival.
“It was really interesting to see the way in which the paintings evolved as different people at the event added something to the different paintings,” said Meera Bennett, a local resident and Drift supporter.
By the end of the night there were 30 canvasses up for grabs at the silent auction. Organizers were thrilled with the number of local art enthusiasts who came keen to create at the first iDrift.
“It was an event for all the artists to come together—we did raise some money so the night was a success,” said Karen Rice, a board member of the Main Art Drift Society.
Watch for more Drift events in the weeks to come. Join the Facebook group for updates and to see more photos from the event.
