Prolific Vancouver food writer names four favourite watering holes within walking distance of his home in Strathcona.
I spend the majority of my evenings close to my home in Strathcona, so that means Chinatown and Gastown, for the most [part]. For drinks, I’d consider myself a regular at Boneta, Bao Bei, The Diamond and L’Abattoir. I like the irreverence of those places, and there are few things more attractive to me than effortless expertise. They do serious things without being serious, and pretension isn’t their bag.
