Enjoy exclusive discounts and check out some cool new (high tech) styles.
This Thursday, February 4, head to Planet Claire in Gastown for a fashion trunk show.
Sneak a peek at fresh spring 2010 looks and take advantage of exclusive discounts on stylish wares by local and international designers—up to 50 percent off!
At the show, look for the latest Noon Solar business satchels. These high-tech eco-satchels are made in Chicago and sold exclusively in Canada by Vancouver company Evolve.
Bitten by the shopping bug?
From now until February 8 at Planet Claire is the “Pre-Olympic Clearance” blowout sale. The entire store is 50–70 percent off.
There’s even a $50 rack where you can get top-flight local fashion such as the Nicole Bridger silk top pictured here for, yeah, $50!
The collection features a range of well-crafted and practical designs. To the side of each bag is attached a slim solar panel that charges a battery pack hidden within, which in turn supplies enough energy to power your cell phone, iPod or Blackberry—day or night.
All you have to do is expose the solar panel towards the sun to collect usable energy. Place it against a window at work, at home, at a restaurant, in the car, on the Skytrain… you get the idea. On a sunny day, it takes around six to eight hours to fully charge the battery, which will last for several days before needing to be recharged.
And don’t worry, my skeptical Vancouverites, even on cloudy or rainy days, energy can be collected through the UV light in the atmosphere.
As a bonus, the solar panels also give the satchels a unique style boost; and the rest of the bag is handcrafted with chemical-free leather and natural dyes.
What’s more, you can enjoy a 10 percent event discount on these one-of-a-kind bags at the show!
Don’t miss this fun evening of fashion forward designs on showcase, great sales, and wine and cheese!
When: Thursday, February 4, 4–8 pm
Where: Planet Claire, 212 Abbott Street, Vancouver
