Plus-sized fashion line is as soft as cashmere, and eco-friendly to boot.
Diane Kennedy’s plus-sized clothing featured at Lola and Gigi trunk show.
Diane Kennedy’s eponymous clothing line offers curvy, eco-conscious fashionistas a great wardrobe of versatile clothing. The designer and long-time pattern maker was inspired to create fashion-forward pieces in a broad range of sizes and styles after having her own plus-sized shopping misadventures.
Borne on her desire to find stylish items for a voluptuous frame came a diverse, eco-friendly clothing line of premium quality garments. Diane’s clothing label fuses her passion for sustainability, proclivity to support local manufacturers and talent for creating beautiful garments for curvy women like herself.
Pieces from the clothing line range in style from casual to career, and from travel to dressy.
Eco-awareness is at the forefront of this designer’s mission to style plus-sized women. All of the garments are ethically produced in BC and all of the fabric is knitted in Canada—even the clothing labels are made locally. The garments are created with materials like soy, organic cotton and 100 percent certified organic bamboo fibres, making them irresistibly soft.
Diane’s environmentally friendly pieces have been featured in Lou Lou Magazine, Movie Entertainment and on the widely popular talk show Steven and Chris. It’s no wonder the designer’s line has taken off!
The Lola & Gigi trunk show will be held June 3-4 in a designer showroom at #130 – 49 Dunlevy Ave, Vancouver. Map
The ultra-soft material is the epitome of travel-friendly, “just shake it and hang it up.”
The clothing line itself will be doing some travelling this month, hitting the road in June with Lola & Gigi’s trunk show to bring tons of fashionable pieces for curvy silhouettes. With stops in Vancouver and Calgary, the show will feature an incomparable selection of Diane Kennedy fashions, probably more than you’ll ever find in one place.
Lola & Gigi is a Toronto-based weboutique that specializes in figure-flattering clothing ranging in sizes 12-24.
Laura Caravaggio, the store’s founder, refers to Diane Kennedy’s line as “eco-cashmere,” pointing out that the sustainable qualities of the material are what make them feel so amazing and look so stunning.
Don’t miss the chance to fondle some of Diane Kennedy’s softest designs on June 3rd and 4th in Vancouver!
And petite women need not feel left out of the eco-fashion fun; after a demand for smaller sizes, Diane began releasing her styles in sizes small and up. Although the trunk show will be dedicated to plus-sized fashions, women of all sizes will soon be able to buy Diane Kennedy online.
