A local’s guide to three of Fort Langley’s best-kept secrets for day-trippers

Summer is in full swingand on those hot days, there is nothing better than a cold treat. If you’re coming into Fort Langley to do some sightseeing and shopping, we have some must-try places that are a little off the beaten path. Avoid waiting in line and try something new this season!

Here are my three favourite spots to get refreshments on a hot day in Fort Langley…

1. Pure Smoothie Bar

If you’re out in Fort Langley and looking for a cold treat that’s not going to make you cheat on your diet, Pure Pharmacy has an amazing smoothie bar you must try. They carry all the flavour profiles you could ever want, and they’ll even add health boosters to your smoothie. To top it all off, their smoothies are absolutely delicious and we guarantee the whole family will find something they loveeven the little ones. This great pharmacy is tucked in just behind Wendel’s Bookstore and Café. Check out this place the next time you’re in the Fort!

2. Ice Cream Bar behind Farmhouse in Provence

Walking past Farmhouse in Provence, on one of the busiest corners in Fort Langley, you would never guess it had a secret inside. The ice cream bar is hidden in plain sight, making it the perfect spot for those in-the-know. Tucked in this cute and quaint little shop is some of the best ice cream in Fort Langley. They have a great selection of flavours and great quality ice cream. The best part is there’s rarely a line, so shh, let’s keep this one between us!

3. Lelem’ Café

If you have been to a Disney park, or even just ogled at food blogs online, you’ve probably heard of the Dole Whip. This legendary frozen dessert is a frosty pineapple treat served at Disneyland, but did you know you can also find it in Fort Langley? Lelem’ Cafe is an Indigenous-owned and -operated cafe by the river in Fort Langley. It’s a little off the beaten track, but it’s worth checking out for the unique twists on Indigenous food and their amazing Dole Whip! This is such a unique and delicious dessert, the perfect pairing with one of their bannock tacos!
