In this new Disney sitcom, three step-siblings (Blake Michael, Francesca Capaldi and G. Hannelius) learn that their new dog, Stan, not only talks but has his own Internet blog. The bickering kids must put aside their differences to keep Stan a secret from their parents, even as the mischievous canine spills the family’s most intimate secrets all over the Net.

Last Man Standing

After Vanessa’s complex presentation to Eve’s class on career day about her job working for an oil company, the class quickly turns on Vanessa and accuses her of destroying the environment. A mortified Eve demands her mom be more environmentally responsible by quitting her job. Mike believes Eve should apologize to her mother, but Eve refuses and goes to drastic lengths by camping in the backyard.

Division discovers that the president of Uzbekistan is secretly a rogue agent intent on assassinating the U.S. president, leaving Nikita and her team to foil the plan without the public — or the President herself — finding out.

This 90-minute special tracks the British boy band’s rapid rise in the worldwide charts — from their discovery on The X Factor to the recording of their first album and the subsequent hit songs. If you can’t get enough of Harry Styles and the boys, there is also One Direction: A Year in the Making at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Extreme Christmas Trees
5 p.m. & 8 p.m., TLC
Among some of the outrageously over-the-top holiday decorations featured in this sparkling special are the world’s largest singing tree (made up of a 300-child choir), another so exceptional that it ended up in the Swedish National Gallery, and a blinged-out Las Vegas tree that is covered in more than $200,000 worth of audacious Yuletide ornaments.

Sophia the First: Once Upon a Princess

The perfectly Disney-named Ariel Winter (Modern Family) lends her voice to this new animated musical about a regular girl who becomes a princess when her mother marries a king. While she gets lessons in becoming royalty from Fauna, Flora and Merryweather (the fairies from Cinderella), she is secretly being watched by the kingdom’s evil sorcerer Cedric, who has plans of his own for the girl.

When an ex-high school quarterback misses out on a football career because of injuries his coaches ignored, he is convinced by Martina to let Stark and Rowan represent him in a lawsuit.

It’s a Wonderful Life

Many people can’t call it Christmas without at least one viewing of this 1946 classic starring James Stewart as a man who gets a second chance when he learns what life would be like without him.

Criminal Minds

One of Garcia’s friends goes missing in an incident that curiously resembles the case of the woman’s daughter’s disappearance seven years earlier.

The Walking Dead

This gory zombie drama — which has been breaking records in gruesome kills this year — wraps up the first half of its season (it’ll return in the spring) with a cliffhanger of an episode.

The creators of Undercover Boss offer up this dramatic unscripted series in which two employees compete against each other in a series of challenges for what they believe is a promotion but, in reality, is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own their own franchise in the company.

Once Upon a Time

As Hook and Cora battle Mary Margaret and Emma for the compass that leads to the portal back to Storybrooke, Regina and Mr. Gold put together a deadly plan to kill anyone who passes through it. Meanwhile, Captain Hook meets the Queen of Hearts.

The Cleveland Show
7:30 p.m., Global & Fox
Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston guest stars in this episode in which Donna finds out that Cleveland never told her about his vasectomy and so, in retaliation, she pretends that she’s become pregnant. Meanwhile, Rallo plays against type when he gets the lead in a local theatre production of Annie.

Boardwalk Empire
8 p.m. & 9 p.m., HBO Canada
Season three has had its ups (Bobby Cannavale’s magnificent portrayal of pyschotic mobster Gyp Rosetti) and downs (Michael Shannon’s disgraced Nelson Van Alden relegated to a dull tertiary subplot), but here’s hoping the finale will pack a punch.

The Mentalist

After a violent attack, Jane temporarily loses his memory and reverts back to his old ways as a con artist.

Courtesy of the mysterious Maris Elder (guest star Whoopi Goldberg), Jane is hypnotized and travels back in time to 1927, where she is shocked to discover that that her family has had a long and complicated history with the Drake. Meanwhile, some leaked secrets threaten Henry’s political future.
