Ho ho hold on tight and fly like Santa on a magical flight across Canada with Santa’s elves, Chestnut and Pinecone. Look out for a sneak peek of Santa’s workshop as you soar over the North Pole.

5. Christmas Lights for Charity — Until January 6

It’s the last year that Christmas Lights for Charity will be illuminated, so see them while you can. All cash and food donations will support the Harvest Project, Shriners Care for Kids and the B.C. Epilepsy Society.

6. Holiday Heights at Bloedel – Until January 6

Maybe it’s cold outside? If so, the heated Bloedel Conservatory is the perfect place to warm up, while watching the exotic birds, exploring the lush gardens and checking out the holiday light display, which is produced by MK Illumination.

7. Bah Humbug! with the VOC Sweet Soul Gospel Choir — Saturday, December 22

Checo Tohomaso and the upbeat VOC Sweet Soul Gospel Choir combine soul, gospel, R&B, jazz, Hawaiian, calypso and reggae as they celebrate the season. Join in the singing, dancing and hand-clapping to bring some joy to your weekend.

8. Carolling Flash Mob – Saturday, December 22

Spread cheer this holiday season in a carolling flash mob, with Living Room Series Vancouver, The Lipstick Project and HUM. Meet in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery (Robson Street) at 3:30 p.m. for a brief orientation or track the event on Facebook to join the travelling choir.

10. Contact Winter Music Festival – Friday, December 28 & Saturday, December 29
