Did you know that Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) has a program to recycle its polyester-based clothing?
Take your clean, worn-out polyester garments to the store and it will recycle them into new items. The items are not limited to MEC-brand clothing.
Stores accept any of the following with a 90 per cent or greater polyester content:
• MEC
• Polartec (any brand)
• Eco Circle (any brand)
• Patagonia Common Threads Recycling Program garments
