The final episode of Fringe will conclude on the show’s 100th episode
Fringe fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Fringe has officially been picked up for one more season. This will be the last season, but knowing this ahead of time means that the writers will have time to wrap up the story in a satisfying way.
FOX announced Thursday (April 26) that the show will return in the fall for a final, 13-episode season, which will end with the show’s 100th episode.
“We are thrilled and beyond grateful that FOX — and our fans — have made the impossible possible: Fringe will continue into a fifth season that will allow the series to conclude in a wild and thrilling way,” series co-creator/executive producer J.J. Abrams says.
All right, Fringe fanatics! Start spilling your happiness! This is a victory for sci-fi everywhere! And did we mention there’s already a teaser for the final season? Check it out below.
