A rushing creek, fantastic floral displays, lush woodland and meandering pathways comprise the three acres of Glen Echo Garden. Only a short drive across the border in Bellingham, the garden was recently opened after years of work by longtime landscaper Dick Bosch. The history of the property has left its mark on the garden today; one of the former owners was a lumber company that left behind many old, large stumps. They are scattered throughout the property and are now the basis for one of the garden areas, called the Gigantic Stump Garden. The grounds also house a Begonia and Fuchsia Garden, a Blue Garden, a Rose Garden and an English Garden. For information visit www.glenechogarden.com or call 360-592-5380.
