Q: I have two blueberry bushes that were planted approximately five years ago. They were planted 5 feet apart. I have never had berries.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
There are a few possibilities: (a) There could be insufficient light for mature growth. (b) It could be that the type of blueberry is not very winter hardy.
I would review your plant-care practices. I am assuming the plants have not been overly feed, excessively pruned and should be of maturing age (this depends on the size of original plants). Blueberry bushes may require three to four years to begin bearing fruits. At the age of six to ten, they should reach full production.
