Natuzzi, 18Karat and Parsley, Sage & Thyme are three exciting home decor stores you must check out
The Natuzzi Italia store
Sandy’s Furniture in Coquitlam has added some serious Italian flavour to its mix with Canada’s first Natuzzi Italia Store. The longtime local retailer has joined forces with the Italian furniture manufacturer in a new 7,000-square-foot gallery where you can browse bella sofas while you sip cappuccinos.
The largest Italian furniture company (listed on Wall Street, no less), Natuzzi has that distinctive luxurious style – think sleek lines and creamy leather (star sofas are the Releve and modular Wave) – with pieces designed, hand-stitched and made in Italy. And now they’re here, making Metro Vancouver part of a rather exclusive list of international outposts – Milan, SoHo, Dubai, London, Zurich – showcasing Italian flair.
Vibrant pops of grass, poppy and canary – they’re summer-fresh hues and represent rebirth for the much-loved and now revived local design and retail company 18Karat.
The go-to style-setter and design emporium is relaunching its core collection alongside new pieces and home accessories like the Antidote vessels, which infuse the nostalgia of old gin bottles into a very-now design. Also new: hand-pounded brass Epoch bowls and textured Chapters vases.
There’s a theme at play here. It’s all about breathing new life into the 18Karat brand (apropos since the company itself is returning to the design world with a change in ownership). Here’s to new beginnings!
Parsley, Sage & Thyme Health Store is Ladner’s one-stop-shop for supplements and whole foods. This spring, registered holistic nutritionist Carly Renshaw joins the team, providing free mini-consults every Monday and Saturday. For more foodie fun register for the raw food classes!
