The hybrids of Euphorbia pulcherrima, which is a native of Central America, are a natural addition to this subtropical paradise.

The Conservatory has five distinct seasonal floral displays throughout the year, and this colourful exhibit extends through the festive season. Follow the paths through the pink, red and white displays of myriad hybrids lit for the holidays and let the sound of the Conservatory’s bird population and trickling water take you away from the season’s hustle and bustle.

As head gardener Mark Rabey puts it, “It is a great place to come when the winter weather is grey and you need a lift.”

The Bloedel Floral Conservatory is located within Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Park. For more information call 604-257-8584.
