Basic bike maintenance for fall cycling

Before you roll through the puddle-ridden streets of Raincity, be sure to follow these basic fall bicycle maintenance tips

1. Always make sure your brakes work, as you’ll be slower when stopping in the rain and as they tend to wear out quickly in bad weather conditions.

2. Clean the bike’s chain more often (every 100 or 200 kilometres).

3. Wipe the braking surface of the wheel every second day to have a better grip and to make sure the rim doesn’t get damaged with grind.
