Vancouver-based Ingledew’s Celebrates 100 Years of Fabulous Shoes

Third generation, family-owned Ingledew's welcomes shoppers to its new flagship store

Ingledew’s marks its centennial with a brand new store

Ingledew’s Shoes has been a destination for shoe lovers for 100 years. This premier specialty footwear store has remained a family-owned business through three generations and is now celebrating a century in business with a beautiful new flagship store in Vancouver’s financial district at 900 West Hastings.

“We feel fortunate to have achieved the longevity of success that we have and look forward to the next 100 years,” Bill Ingledew, CEO and grandson of the Ingledew’s founder, stated in a news release. “While we intend to stay true to our roots in terms of our unwavering commitment to fit and selection, we are excited to explore opportunities to attract the next generation of customers.”

After decades along Granville Street, Ingledew’s new home in the former Chanel location is quite the upgrade – goodbye dark, recessed, dated space; hello bright, polished, contemporary shoe-mecca.
